Gulf Air has set up a special crisis committee in response to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, reported the Gulf Daily News.
The committee is meeting daily, as is the airline's Executive Management Committee, to discuss the issues raised by the attack and its impact on the global airline industry's economic environment, said the paper.
The airline joins others around the world in mourning, according to a statement issued on Sunday.
The airline aims to address the challenges posed by the attacks, including the threat to aircraft security.
It is also reviewing the route structure and the financial burdens placed on the company by increased insurance and fuel costs, according to the statement -- ALbawaba.com
