Violence flared in Gaza Strip with an Israeli airstrike on Palestinian rocket launchers just hours.
The Israeli airstrike early Monday, according to the Israeli military, targeted "rocket launchers" just before an attack was to be launched from northern Gaza Strip, and two launchers were destroyed, The AP reported.
According to hospital officials, a man and two women, apparently bystanders, were wounded by shrapnel. Palestinians said unmanned aircraft fired the missiles.
The Islamic Jihad said one of its cells, which minutes earlier fired three rockets at an Israeli settlement just outside Gaza Strip, was the target of the airstrike.
In the meantime, Hamas announced Monday that it has not made its final decision in regards to taking part in re-elections in some voting stations in Gaza Strip.
A statement issued by the movement said, "a decision will be made in light of the results of the meeting between Hamas and Fatah movement."
The statement quoted Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri as saying, "Hamas condemns news leaks from the executive office for the supreme elections committee which give out indications far from Hamas's true stance.
"Abu Zuhri reviews all developments related to the committee's work because he is a committee member, a matter which has nothing to do with Hamas' participation in the elections," the statement added.
The Palestinian elections committee decided to carry out a re-vote in a number of voting stations in Gaza in Al-Buraij camp, the town of Rafah and Bait Lahiya village next Wednesday.
