Fifteen Palestinians have been killed so far in the West Bank and Gaza strip clashes on Saturday. Among the victims were six members of the Palestinian police force, according to reports.
At least three of them were children under the age of seventeen, while a fourteen year old boy was declared clinically dead after being shot in the head by Israeli bullets.
The most recent deaths were three more Palestinians, two of them members of the security forces who died Saturday afternoon in clashes in Nablus, hospital sources told AFP.
Earlier in Gaza, three Palestinian police officers were shot dead by Israeli troops at the Netzarim settlement.
Earlier this morning, a 12-year-old Palestinian boy was killed during a shootout in the Gaza Strip between Palestinian police and Israeli troops, the director of Gaza's Shifa hospital told AFP.
Another 14-year-old Palestinian boy died in Ramallah after being hit in the chest by bullets fired by Israeli troops, the Ramallah hospital said.
In the West Bank city of Nablus, a 14-year old Palestinian died in hospital after being hit in the stomach by a live bullet fired by Israeli troops during clashes, the head of the town's Rafidia hospital, Hassan al-Juhri, told AFP.
The hospital did not give the boy's name.
Earlier this morning, a 17-year-old boy, Khaled Asuri, had been declared clinically dead by Gaza's Shifa hospital after being shot in the head by a rubber bullet during clashes in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
Sources at Nablus hospital said it was treating 35 wounded demonstrators.
Among the victims was a Palestinian ambulance driver who was also killed during a shootout between Israeli troops and Palestinian police at the entrance to the Jewish settlement of Netzarim in the Gaza Strip, the head of Gaza's Shifa hospital told AFP.
The driver was identified as Bassam al-Balbisi, aged 32.
An ambulance driver told AFP a Palestinian policeman had opened fire on Israeli troops guarding the entrance to the Jewish settlement of Netzarim, south of Gaza City.
The soldiers responded instantly, firing in all directions, other witnesses reported.
It was not immediately known whether the Israelis suffered casualties, but witnesses said they had seen a helicopter leaving the settlement after the shootout – (AFP)
