The exhibition of famous Moroccan painter Belaid Belhaoui is currently in progress until September 15 in Plazza Desdemona, Essaouria. The exhibition is a showcase of fifty paintings of Belhaoui, who just settled in Essaouria after spending thirty years abroad. Born in Casablanca in 1948, Belhaoui started to paint at a very early age. He studied visual arts in the Frochot Academy in Paris. After spending thirty years in Paris, he decided to return to his home country. According to the artistic critics, this exhibition brings a different perspective, portraying the authenticity and the simplicity of the everyday life in Morocco.
