The UAE's President, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Monday issued, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, a decree on the establishment of an institute for applied technology. According to the decree, the institute shall be a corporate body and enjoy independent financial and administrative character with full legal competence to assume its activities.
According to <i>WAM</I>, the Abu Dhabi government-owned institute will be based in Abu Dhabi and can establish branches and offices inside the Emirate of Abu Dhabi upon a resolution from its board of trustees.
