ALBAWABA - President Erdogan praised the Turkish nation's participation in the Local Administration General Elections as a victory for democracy during a post-election speech from the balcony of the AK Party Headquarters.
Erdogan thanked the whole country in front of a joyful assembly for their steadfast allegiance and support. He discussed the importance of the holy month of Ramadan, wished all Muslims a happy holiday, and showed support for people in Gaza who are struggling during this holy month.
With the exception of a few sporadic occurrences, Erdogan observed that the recently held elections went off without a hitch. He commended the citizens' fortitude in the face of separatist extremists' attempts to intimidate them and the security forces' prompt action in preserving order.
Erdogan emphasized that elections play a crucial role in democratic nations and that the people's will must be freely expressed without interference from outside parties. He highlighted the unanimity of all Turkish citizens, irrespective of their political affiliation, by proclaiming the election results as a victory for Turkish democracy.
Erdogan conveyed his appreciation to all voters who used their right to vote as well as his gratitude to election officials and security forces for their hard work.
Erdogan concluded by urging the populace to continue having conversations till Sahur (the time just before fasting) , the pre-dawn meal, and expressing optimism that the election results would benefit the nation and its residents.
