ALBAWABA - The Local Administration General Elections in Turkey ended at 17:00. After the ballots are cast, every province begins the crucial task of tallying them.

The Supreme Election Council (YSK) set the voting timetable, with some provinces starting at 07:00 and others at 08:00 and ending at 17:00 nationwide. In localities like Adıyaman, Ağrı, and Artvin, early morning voters exercised their democratic right, while candidates in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir cast ballots, emphasizing the role of the election process.

For this election, 61 million 441 thousand 882 registered voters were expected to vote. About 1 million 32,610 young voters cast their first ballots, underscoring the importance of youth civic engagement.

The elections, which will feature 206,845 polling sites and 34 political parties, will determine who will head local administrations, including mayors, council members, and muhtars. Election security and integrity are major concerns during ballot counting.

YSK President Ahmet Yener said the voting proceeded well, demonstrating the country's democracy. He offered his condolences to everybody affected and stressed the importance of a fair election.

Political parties, candidates, and voters are eagerly anticipating ballot counting results, which will influence Turkish local governance. The nation vigilantly counts votes and hears voices during the political process.
