Dubai is organizing the first conference and exhibition of its kind in the region, on Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Fertility.
The three-day conference, which will begin Tuesday, targets the medical professionals.
The conference is held under the patronage of Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and Industry and president of the Department of Health and Medical Services (DoHMS) Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said UAE’s official news agency (WAM).
The Dubai International Obstetric-Gynaecology and Fertility Conference and Exhibition (DIOFCE 2001) will host a series of 25 lectures and three workshops by 14 specialists from Egypt, France, Britain, the USA, Belgium, Sweden, Saudi Arabia and Dubai, said the agency.
Dr Awatif Al Bahar, chairperson of the conference was quoted by the agency as saying that “two professors from Germany and Lebanon will perform operations on six infertile patients registered with DoHMS for free in an interactive session with other doctors to demonstrate some of the advances in treating infertility.”
Speakers will address a variety of issues regarding gynaecology and infertility and treatment , WAM said, noting that the event will be held at Al Wasl Hospital in Dubai – Albawaba.com
