Construction on the second phase of the Dubai Bypass Road has started and the Dh51.6 million project is projected to be complete by the first quarter of 2003.
According to Khaleej Times, the project represents the bypass road that connects the Dubai-Al Ain Road to the Al Awir Hatta Road at the Al Ruwwaiya Intersection near the Dubai Sports and Cultural Club.
The project involved the construction of a two-lane dual carriageway, separated by a 15-metre wide median. The road will be provided with roadway signage, street lighting, and storm drainage and irrigation systems in line with the advanced international standards, the newspaper reported. (Albawaba.com)
