Dubai International Airport will offer special facilities to 9,700 pilgrims leaving Dubai for the Saudi Kingdom to perform Haj. There will be 37 flights spread over a period of 18 days. In addition, there will be between one and three flights daily, with the first flight leaving on February 2, according to Khaleej Times

The Haj Committee, which held a meeting under the chairmanship of Nasser Khajoor, finalized the special facilities to be offered to pilgrims for their comfort and convenience conditions. The committee has situated personnel from every department at the Dubai airport.

Ten check-in counters and six immigration counters will be dedicated to Haj flights, in order to speed up the processing of the pilgrims' papers. For the convenience of the elderly passengers, four wheelchairs manned by staffers will be available.

Saudi Arabian Airlines has been allotted row number three for check-in, with departure gates being 11 and 13. Emirates passengers will have row number 2 and gates 19 and 21 at the Shaikh Rashid Terminal. (Albawaba.com)
