Members of an alliance named “Stop the War in Iraq” are expected to demonstrate on January 18 in central Nicosia against a possible war on Iraq.
The demonstration will coincide with similar rallies in New York and Arab countries between January 17-19, the official Cyprus News Agency reported Friday.
The alliance was founded in Cyprus earlier this month following an initiative by various organizations, movements, activists, students, Palestinians and Iraqis who work and reside on the island. (Albawaba.com)
