ALBAWABA - As the release date gets closer, the highly anticipated battle between the folds will commence as Apple are planning to step into the foldable phones market. Despite this, Samsung isn’t backing down.
Samsung has begun releasing tiny details regarding their upcoming Samsung Z Fold 8, along with Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8. These leaks and teases, though not confirmed, give us a pretty good insight regarding the new generation of Samsung smartphones.
According to TechRadar, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will feature a 7.6-inch 120Hz foldable display alongside a 5.5-inch cover screen with QHD+ resolution all powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 12GB RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
Now to the important part, the camera. The leak suggests a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and dual 10MP selfie cameras, along with a 4,800mAh battery. All in all, the device would weigh 201 grams.
One notable thing about the Fold 8 is that its wider than a regular smartphone, making it not a true successor to previous Fold 7, instead; the Fold 8 Ultra is expected to come in a regular smartphone shape.
We’re all excited and looking forward to the Unpacked event where Samsung will tell us all about their new phones, while there was no official date set for the event; leaks say July 22 is the most probable date for it.
