ALBAWABA - Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif announced that he will be attending the funeral of the late supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, in Iran, AFP reported Thursday.

Pakistan said that Sharif will be heading to Tehran to attend Khamenei's funeral. The ceremony for the former supreme leader will be held across Iran from July 4 to July 9.

The head of the organization, Abuzar Shiroudi, said that Mehrabad Airport in central Tehran would be completely closed starting Friday morning, with the exception of diplomatic and political flights. Operations at Imam Khomeini International Airport would continue without restrictions.
