Algeria's national tennis team manager, Mohamed Bouchabou, is hopeful ahead of the matches against Poland. The games, within the framework of the first round of the Davis Cup tie, will be held at Algiers sports complex from 4 to 6 March (Europe-Africa zone, Group 2). The top Algerian tennis players are Slimane Saoudi, who is currently ranked 451 in the world, Roll Ouahab, 456, Abdelhak Hameurlaine, 1216 and Noureddine Mahmoudi, 1478.
It should be noted that last year the International Tennis Federation dropped Denmark to a lower tier for refusing to play a first-round match in Algeria because of "security concerns."
