Damascus Radio on Monday denounced the United States’ blind bias towards Israel, the Syrian Arab news agency reported that day.

The state-run radio stressed, in its daily political commentary, that by blindly supporting Israel, Washington is acting in contradiction with the allegation about being the main sponsor of the peace process, which was launched by former U.S. President George Bush.

The radio further indicated that the United States ignored the declaration of the successive Israeli government that it would not go back to the lines of 1967, and refused to recognize the rights of the Palestinians to return to their homeland. Moreover, the radio said that Israel considers peace irrelevant unless it ensures its security and vital interests, not taking into account Arab security, which calls for the complete Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Arab lands and the right of the Palestinians to return and establish their own independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, SANA concluded.(Albawaba.com)
