A man was killed and two people wounded Saturday by a grenade found in an onion sack in Port Sudan, on the Red Sea, a newspaper reported Sunday.
Al-Sahafi Al-Dawli, reporting from the port city, said two men who were hired by a merchant to clean the onions, found the grenade in the sack. It exploded as they examined it, killing one and wounding the other, while also injuring a woman bystander.
The authorities are investigating the blast, the paper said -- Khartoum, (AFP)
