ALBAWABA - In a post on X, US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that all the facilities that operate under the Gaza pier were not used in the operation of the occupation forces carried out to free hostages from Nuseirat camp, which led to the killing of more than 200 Palestinians.
"The humanitarian pier facility, including its equipment, personnel, and assets were not used in the operation to rescue hostages today in Gaza," CENTCOM stated in the post.
In a "complex daytime operation" in Nuseirat that claimed the lives of over 200 Palestinians, the Israeli force, aided by the United States, managed to free four captives from Gaza. According to a US official who spoke with Axios, the US cell in Israel "supported" the attempt to free the hostages.
According to a US official quoted by CNN, the American cell is a group that has been assisting Israel with gathering information since October 7. According to the news agency, "a source familiar with the matter" claimed that "no US boots on the ground" were present during the operation on Saturday.
Israeli military vehicles unexpectedly proceeded into regions east and northwest of the Nuseirat camp, coinciding with an enormous artillery bombardment of massive parts of the camp.
On Saturday, Israeli airstrikes targeted the Nuseirat refugee camp, regions east of Deir al-Balah, and the al-Bureij and al-Maghazi camps in central Gaza, killing 210 Palestinians and injuring over 400 others. The strikes coincided with a rapid incursion of vehicles east and northwest of Nuseirat.
The death toll from Israel's bombing of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza on Saturday has increased to 210, according to the Government Media Office in the besieged enclave.
"Some 210 martyrs and more than 400 injured were brought to Al-Aqsa Hospital due to the brutal Israeli massacre in the Nuseirat camp,".
The Media Office also voiced an appeal "to the international community and international organizations to save Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital and supply it with medical necessities and generators to ensure its continued operation".
"Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital is unable to accommodate the number of martyrs and injured due to the Israeli bombardment," warned the Gaza media office.
Earlier in the day, Khalil Al-Dakran, spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, stated at a press conference that "55 Palestinian fatalities arrived at the hospital as a result of the Israeli raids on the Nuseirat camp in the Central Governorate".
Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
