Omani Sultan Qaboos Bin Said issued on Thursday five decrees reshuffling the ministers’ council, reported the Omani news agency (ONA).
Faysal bin Ali Al Said was appointed advisor to the sultan for heritage affairs, the second decree assigned Asaad Tariq Al Said as representative of the sultan.
The third decree assigned Haytham bin Tariq Al Said as minister for culture and heritage, whereas the fourth changed the ministry of national heritage and culture's title to the ministry of heritage and culture.
The fifth decree stated eliminating the general secretariat general of the supreme committee for conferences, with its responsibilities transferred to the general secretariat of the ministerial council.
The latest ministerial reshuffle in Oman was in June 2001, where Hamad bin Mohammed al-Rashdai was assigned as minister of information. (Albawaba.com)
