Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF), one of Bahrain’s and the region's, leading professional training Institutes, held their 25th anniversary celebration yesterday evening, under the patronage of H.E. Rasheed Al Maraj, Governor of the Bahrain Monetary Agency, and Chairman of the Specific Council for Vocational Training (Banking Sector). The Institute was established in 1981 primarily to provide essential training for the banking community in Bahrain; today BIBF has expanded to provide professional development solutions to a worldwide market.
The reception dinner celebration attracted former BMA governors who have presided during each of BIBF's generations, Ministers, ambassadors, high dignitaries and officials from the financial industry, as well as current and former BIBF staff and students- including those who accredit their success and top-level management positions in some of the most internationally renowned banks and financial institutions to the solid educational foundation they received at the Institute.
Believing that people are the most valuable asset of any business, BIBF Director, Khalil Nooruddin stressed the importance of maintaining a high level of competence as the key to professional excellence and to achieving any given financial institution's aspirations. Since its inception, BIBF has provided performance improvement solutions to over 60,000 students.
Mr. Nooruddin commented on the occasion saying, "The success that BIBF enjoys is attributed to the strong support and guidance provided by numerous individuals and organizations. This support comes from the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the financial services community, as well as the Specific Council for Vocational Training (Banking Sector). We are grateful for their valued support and wise advice".
He also went on to praise the BIBF employees saying, “The Institute's diligent and committed staff- some of whom have literally been here from day one, combined with the BMA's outstanding guidance and expertise, have paved the way for BIBF to emerge as a leading financial services educational body."
The celebration included a modern photo gallery depicting the evolution of BIBF over the years, as well as an on-going display of BIBF's corporate video, created specially in honor of the anniversary.
