Armed clash on Syria-Lebanon border leaves leaves three dead, including two Syrian troops

Syrian security troops killed an "extremist of Arab nationality" following an armed clash while the "extremist" was trying along with others, to cross the Syrian border to Lebanon illegally.

 

According to the official SANA news agency, the "extremist" opened fire at the border patrol, killing two of the patrol personnel. However, he was finally killed and his other companions were arrested.

 

In a follow up operation, 34 "extremists" of other non-Syrian nationalities were arrested, the agency added.

 

In one isolated house, which was used by the "extremists", personal belongings, passports, photos, and personal documents that belong to a number of nationalities were found, it concluded.
