Secretary General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa
headed Tuesday to New York for a one week visit to the U.S.
Official spokesman of the Secretary General, Hussam Zaki told reporters that Moussa will be participating on Wednesday in New York in the meetings of the U.N. international committee assigned to discuss international and security threats.
He added that the three-day meetings will be preparing a report to be submitted to the U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan on recommendations regarding international security and peace threats and U.N. mechanisms to confront these
threats.
Afterwards, Moussa is expected to head to Houston, Texas, on November 6 to hold meetings with Arab Americans to prepare for the second Arab-American conference due next year in Texas, the spokesman said. (Albawaba.com)
