Arab League chief on way to U.S. for talks

Secretary General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa ‏  

‏headed Tuesday to New York for a one week visit to the U.S.‏  

Official spokesman of the Secretary General, Hussam Zaki told reporters ‏that Moussa will be participating on Wednesday in New York in the meetings of the U.N. international committee assigned to discuss international and security ‏threats.‏  

 

He added that the three-day meetings will be preparing a report to be submitted to the U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan on recommendations regarding ‏international security and peace threats and U.N. mechanisms to confront these ‏  

‏threats.‏  

 

Afterwards, Moussa is expected to head to Houston, Texas, on November 6 to hold meetings with Arab Americans to prepare for the second ‏Arab-American conference due next year in Texas, the spokesman said. (Albawaba.com)‏
