Per Aquum Spa Collection continues its commitment to all over wellbeing with the next introduction of their new five and six day yoga wellness retreats, this time with yoga guru, Annoushka Hempel. This six day retreat will be held in its flagship LIME spa at award winning Per Aquum property, Huvafen Fushi Maldives this October 20th to 26th showcasing Asana and Kundalini yoga daily.
Annoushka Hempel, is daughter-in-law to London-based celebrated hotelier and designer, Anoushka Hempel ( spelt with a single ‘n’ ), known for her unrivalled reputation for the design of three significant and influential hotels – Blakes in London & Amsterdam and The Hempel in London.
A leader in her own field, the younger of the Hempel ladies, Annoushka first met yoga in 1987 exploring the teachings of Sivananda, Iyengar and Astanga Yoga. After 13 years of training in Asana practice she was introduced to the world of Kundalini Yoga. A physical and meditative discipline, comprising a set of simple techniques that uses the mind, senses and body to create a communication between "mind" and "body". It also focuses on psycho-spiritual growth and the body's potential for maturation, giving special consideration to the role of the spine and the endocrine system in the understanding of yogic awakening. Annoushka opened her first Yoga Studio in London in 2000. She moved to Sri Lanka in 2003 and opened her second Yoga Studio in Galle. Being based in Colombo now, Annoushka guest teaches at the world renowned Ulpotha-wellness retreat in Sri Lanka. “Yoga trains the body, mind and soul to allow us – to reach that place of no name; to attain strength, peace, centeredness and self-awareness ‘the inner sanctum’, says Annoushka.
Find your ‘inner sanctum’ at the recently launched LIME spa at Huvafen Fushi. Priced at USD1,465 per person, the six day retreat is inclusive of:
