Algerian President to visit France

Algeria’s President Abdelaziz Bouteflika is set to pay an official visit to France on Wednesday. 

 

The Algerian leader is expected to meet with high-ranking officials to discuss international and bilateral issues, it was confirmed on Tuesday, according to KUNA news agency.  

 

President Jacques Chirac will receive the Algerian President over lunch at the Elysee palace, according to Chirac's press office. The two leaders are due to discuss the Iraqi crisis, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East as well as Maghreb relations.  

 

According to the news agency, economic issues are also to be reviewed, especially bilateral cooperation and the Algerian economy reform. (Albawaba.com)
