US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright plans to bring the Israeli and Palestinian leaders Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat together for a three-way meeting Wednesday afternoon, US diplomatic officials said.
Albright had separate meetings planned with Prime Minister Barak at around 10:30 a.m. (0830 GMT) at the US ambassador's residence in Paris, and then with Palestinian authority President Arafat at around midday (1000 GMT).
The two leaders are also holding separate meetings with French President Jacques Chirac.
