ALBAWABA - Syria's Interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa has just arrived in Egypt to attend the emergency summit in Cairo along with other Arab leaders.

Arab presidents and leaders are expected to gather in Cairo on Tuesday for the “emergency summit" to discuss the future of the Gaza Strip.

The emergency meeting was announced following US President Donald Trump's Gaza plan in which he suggested the US should take control, displace its people to neighboring countries and turn Gaza into a "riviera of the Middle East".

The Cairo meeting aimed to bring a unified Arab stance to counter Donald Trump's recent proposal on Gaza as Arab countries had condemned Trump's proposed plan.

According to experts, during the summit in Cairo, the Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is expected to present his plan for reconstructing Gaza.

On Sunday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty confirmed that the Gaza reconstruction plan is ready, which ensures Palestinians remain in their land.
