Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki has pleaded no comment to a rumor stating that his latest production, Ayam El Sadat (Sadat’s Days), will be featured in the opening of the Cairo Film Festival.

According to Al-Jumhuriah newsapper, Zaki stated “I cannot verify or deny this rumor. But I can definitely tell you that the director of the film Mohammad Khan is about to finalize the editing.”

The actor had previously announced that the movie’s release has been postponed till next summer, due to the amount of more ‘commercial’ movies to be released this year.

Meanwhile, Zaki took the opportunity to emphasize that there is no ‘bad air’ between Khan and himself, and that the only difference they encountered was one to do with a certain point of view about the film.

Said the actor “what is going on between me and Khan is very natural in any movie-making atmosphere. I have made my best movies with this man and would like to say, or better yet demand, that everyone leave us alone!” – Albawaba.com.
