2nd International Craftsmen Exhibition is being held between March 18 and March 25 in the Kram Exhibition Hall with the theme “Craftsmen for Tunisia of tomorrow”. La Presse reports that there will be a space in the event for pottery and traditional ceramics as well as an “arabesque space” devoted to the ethnic pieces of furniture.
“One of the innovations of this year’s event is the UNESCO Prize of the Craft Industry for the Arab States,” said Mr. Noureddine Essaïdi, one of the organizers of the event and the director of ONA. Essaïdi notes that the UNESCO prize will be given at the end of a contest called “Glass and Metals” and the prize aims to encourage craftsmen who combine innovations with traditional know-how.
