Twelve have been killed and six wounded in a series of traffic accidents in Tunisia, November 1, according to the Tunisian Traffic Commission in the Tunisian Ministry of Interior.
One of the accidents occurred in the district of El-Messatria, in the Sfax area, when a bus collided with a hired car. The passengers on the bus were unscathed, but all the passengers in the car died. The second was in the Gabès area, when a lorry and a car, registered in Algeria, collided.
The traffic commission has opened an enquiry to determine why so many accidents occurred and are launching a campaign for safer standards, less speeding and more awareness of the risks involved in driving. (albawaba.com)
