ALBAWABA - As tension escalates all across Palestinian territories, Israeli forces killed one Palestinian teen in the West Bank town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced this evening the death of Palestinian teenager Mahmoud Basem Khmais, 18, after he succumbed to his injuries sustained by Israeli occupation forces' live ammunition in Hebron, WAFA reported.
Confrontations erupted at the Beit Ummar entrance, and Israeli occupation soldiers opened fire on the young people. Khmais was shot in the chest and was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
During the clashes, many more Palestinians were hurt by rubber-coated metal bullets and suffered from gas inhalation. With the death of Khmais, the number of Palestinians murdered by Israeli gunfire in the occupied West Bank has grown to six since Saturday morning.
Additionally, Israeli settlers shot live bullets at Palestinian homes in the village of Jalbun, northeast of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, for the second time in less than 24 hours, according to local sources. There were no reported injuries.
The head of the Jalbun village council, Ibrahim Abu al-Rab, told WAFA that settlers from the colonial Israeli settlement of Mirav, built on the village's lands, fired live shots at Palestinian homes last night and again this morning in order to terrorize the village's civilian population.
