The Tunisian director Abdelatif Kechiche has received the best film award in the 30th Cesar award ceremony that took place in the Chatelet Theatre in Paris on last Saturday, for his movie “L'esquive” (The Dodge). Apart from the best movie award “L'esquive” also received awards in three other categories, including the best director award and the best script award.
<i>Aujourd'hui</i> reports that the movie, which is Abdelatif Kechiche's second long feature movie, after “La faute a Voltaire” (Voltaire's mistake), was highly praised by movie critiques in 2004. The script of the movie, which tells the story of two young high school students from the suburbs, actually waited for 13 years until it was finally directed by Abdelatif Kechiche.
