Nawras Cricket Tournament 2011 provides competition, prizes and family entertainment

Nawras Cricket Tournament 2011 is taking place this weekend with 32 teams signed up and eagerly waiting for the first ball to be bowled at the Oman Football Association, near Mumtaz Mahal in Muscat.  A range of exciting prizes are on offer to reward the top performances and best displays of sportsmanship.  The final day will also include innovative games show for families.  

Matches will be played from 7.30pm until midnight on Wednesday 9 February and Thursday 10 February and from 9.00am on Friday 11 February, with prize giving scheduled from 9pm.  Spectators are welcome to enjoy the pleasingly different event too and are being invited to take part in the family game show from 5.30pm on the last day.

Registered teams include Al Bustan, Al Faisal, Azad XI, Cheema XI, OHI, Coastal, Titans, HCC, Ibn Sina Pharmacy, Assarain, OSCO, Time Travels, Strike Force, Royal Guard of Oman, Al Tureky XI, Lions XI, Starlights, OEC, TTC, Director’s XI, Taiseer, Team Sterling, United Fighters, Friends Cricket Club, Vision Group, AL Rehwan Cricket Club, Al Athnain, Ruwi XI, Al Hail Cricket Team, Asfand XI, TCC and Nawras. 

This is the second fun-filled event organised by Orbital Challengers Sports Club for Nawras, following the Shababiah Sports Fest held in 2010.
