Fashion this season is all about comfort and individual styling where collections of basics-with-a-twist are paired alongside more elaborate pieces thereby creating fuss-free looks definite with distinctive style. Iconic's Spring Summer 2011 collection is not only exotic but classic and undeniably fitting for the season. With plenty of all-white outfits and subdued pastels rounding out the collection the fashion collections echo the changing moods and styles of SS’11 exploring prominent themes of ‘Nostalgia’ and ‘Color Pops’ for women while men experience fashion with trends like ‘Summer Shady’, ‘Cargo Madness’ amongst others.

Spring/Summer 2011 will not only be driven by trends created on catwalks but also individual style which will find flavor in colours, fabrics, patterns and silhouettes. Cotton and cotton/nylon blend fabrics bring out the colours and set the mood for the season. The colour palette is varied and witnesses a revival with mint, coral, yellow, purple, lipstick red and hot pink which is very in the style of Katy Perry. Chambrays, seersuckers, oxfords and piques are soft and washed, but not vintage. While denim is here to stay the fabrics are supple and all about comfort stretch. New Japanese inspired liberty prints update the classics in a light and carefree spirit while dense prints in floral or abstract forms bring retro wallpaper to life and knits are featured in lightweight jersey or lace-like patterns. Suggesting a laid back feel silhouettes vary from becoming cropped and cute where coloured chinos and shorts along with crop tee's are a highlight of the season or long and loose like one shoulder or maxi dresses but always with an attitude. Wrapping and draping is evident and asymmetry is a key in a lot of silhouettes.

Patterns like paisley, polka dots and animal prints add playfulness and are utmost important to the season.

This season white makes a strong appearance in the form of spotless relaxed clothes and unveils an unstructured easy to wear collection in soft crumpled fabrics. Dreamy looking chiffon in billowing volume, baby-doll dresses, rompers, high-low hemlines in floaty maxi-dresses, gypsy blouses and floor-sweeping breath-taking gowns will complete the ever-discerning wardrobe.

Men are seen flirting with fashion this season with key trends and must-have summertime basics. ‘Mediterranean Resort’ makes a comeback in a capsule collection of familiar nautical and vintage-inspired resort shapes which offset smart lightweight tailoring with relaxed jersey pieces and functional yachting influences for men. While silhouettes and details have a traditional feel pleated volume, boat necks and double-breasted fastenings, print & pattern add the classic retro direction.

The ‘Henley’ emerges as must-have summertime basics with scoop necks being directional elements for basic knits and contrast sleeves, plackets, cuffs and pockets creating an offbeat look. ‘Summer Plaids’ get featured in the must-have category wherein bright colours can be teamed up with brightly coloured shorts for even more liveliness or with beanies and cropped pants for an updated urban look.

Key trends for men emerge in the form of ‘Denim’ and chambray shirts which continue from last season but the new way to wear them is buttoned up all the way to the neck. After months of vivid colour woven shirts or ‘Gingham Shirts’ go back to being black and white. Double-faced fabric allows for contrasting pattern on cuffs and collar and large buffalo checks look new in basic neutrals.  Not to be left behind ‘Cargo Madness’ explores new silhouettes turning a frat boy favourite into fashionable trousers for men. The cargo pant gets a makeover, channelling a more sophisticated sensibility in a wide range of fabrics including woven and acid-washed denim. ‘Biker Deluxe’ elevates biker-inspired looks where leather motorcycle and racer jackets are wardrobe essentials.  Patriotic graphic motifs like American flags and bald eagles for T-shirts accessorized with dark sunglasses add that extra zing.

Footwear in a male wardrobe becomes all essential drawing influences from architecture. Experimental shapes found in cement throughways and glass sculptures provide an esoteric platform that feels unconditionally modern. Blank canvas emerges which can be built upon and manipulated. White surfaces, supple skins, suede and unorthodox combinations of luxe materials are ideal.

Accessorising any look will be big this season with woven canvas and denim bags and belts topping the chart along with quirky jewellery in pearl set-off with jewels in various colours like cream, coral and light greys. Footwear for women will come with weave detailing and denim fabrics in colours of creams, nude and taupe.  Lingerie will complete a woman’s wardrobe and the seasons hottest colours remain black, fuchsia, soft pink, red and leopard.

The all exclusive Soho section of Iconic is topped with peculiar items ranging from gadgets including speakers, headphones, massagers available in neon colours and very innovative designs to trendy home décor including Neon Baroque photo frames, bling cushions and funky canvas art. Funky design gifts for your loved ones are available from UK brands like Suck UK, J-Me and Kikkerland.
