ALBAWABA - Iranian lawmakers attend Sunday's parliament session wearing the uniform of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) amid rising tension between Iran and the United States.

A video from the Feb. 1st session in the Iranian parliament showed members of the government wearing the green uniform of the Iranian army, while chanting "Death to America" and "Death to Israel".

Semi-official news agency Tasnim posted video from the session and wrote a caption, "Chants of  Death to America and Death to Israel in the Parliament Chamber. Parliament members, in today's open session, coinciding with the start of the Islamic Revolution's Decade of Dawn and in reaction to the hostile action by the European Union, donned the uniform of the IRGC."

On the other hand, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday that US naval forces are heading in the direction of Iran. "We do have very big, powerful ships heading in that direction as you know, but I hope they negotiate something that's acceptable," he announced, adding that the Iranians are “seriously talking to us."

Trump also revealed that Tehran was talking seriously with Washington, and he hoped to reach an agreement between the two countries to avoid escalation.
