Peace on earth is one of the themes of the holiday season, so no better time than now to publish a heart-rending music video that calls for peace in the Middle East. Bashar Murad of East Jerusalem and Muhammad Mughrabi of Shu'fat Refugee Camp remade John Lennon & Yoko Ono's 'Happy Christmas' song into a piece that pulls on the heart strings.

The duo's 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)' rendition of the classic aims to remind viewers of the daily horrors that occur around the world, while simultaneously providing hope for better days.

Murad's smooth voice comforts with the Christmas tune as dichotomous footage rolls from the Israeli Occupation, Syrian refugees, police brutality in USA, religious extremism in France, Lebanon, Somalia, Kenya, and Nigeria, and much more.

The song was recorded and produced by Sabreen Association for Artistic Development in Jerusalem. The video was filmed in Mount of Olives, Jerusalem and Shu’fat Refugee Camps.
