Happy days are here again for Ahmed Helmy. After suffering from spinal cancer, the Egyptian actor can now celebrate that his malignant tumor has been successfully removed. Since he still must remain in the US for post-procedure R&R, the Egyptian Consulate took it upon themselves to throw down a party in honor of his good health report.
According to Al Jaras Magazine, Consular Al Husseini Abdel Wahab held a luncheon for Ahmed to celebrate that the operation was a success. His loyal celebrity wife, Mona Zaki, accompanied him along with a group of close friends. It was the first time the public also managed to see the actress since she gave birth to her second child "Saleem".
Ahmed had the surgery done in the US last week and is ordered by doctors to avoid travel until he gets the necessary rest and once the time is right they will permit him to return home to Egypt.
