Maali's sister Muhjah still insists that the news of her being diagnosed with cancer is not true and she is only suffering from respiratory problems resulting from heavy smoking. Muhjah added that Maali's condition is improving and she is in contact with everyone that asks about her and reads all the messages she receives on her cell phone.
The condition of Maali is controversial, especially since the doctor that is supervising her condition is a cancer tumor specialist named Ahmad Salim Fouad, who refused to give any statement regarding her condition.
