In a step that made him look like a schoolboy crying to his momma about a bully, young singer Rami Sabri has closed his Facebook account after fans relentlessly criticized his continual delays in releasing his third album that’s been two whole years in the making.
The Egyptian songster has used every excuse in the book for the album’s delay, including unstable conditions in the region and problems with production in London, while some fans believe the real answer is that producer Muhsin Jaber wanted to launch the album during the coming Muslim holiday season to compete with Amr Diab.
The album has been officially rescheduled for today, June 19th, but we won’t be holding our breath to see if that promise actually comes true. At least “Wa Ana Ma’ah” has started playing on the radio to give us a little taste of what's to come.
Let’s just hope the rest of Rami's album will be worth the looong wait!
