Maybe they’d already made up, or maybe Asala Nasri was on a high after receiving awards at the Middle East Music Award Festival, but she sure seemed like she was pals indeed, despite Rami’s newspaper comment that they were working partners only – not friends. They sat next to each other and spoke highly of one another as they both took the stage to be honored for their achievements
In addition to the reconciled performers, many of the region’s other celebrities showed up to the award ceremony at the Cairo Grand Hyatt Hotel under the patronage of Majed Husni. Big time musicians Hani Mahna and Nader Abdullah sat on the judging committee of the event that brought the Syrian songstress back into the spotlight with her hubby director and producer Tareq Al Arian watching.
Lebanese singer Nicole Saba attended the event with Egyptian singer Mohammad Hamaki. They also sat together throughout the entire ceremony and left together at the end.
