Lebanese singer Ragheb Alameh is living the success of his new album “Tab Leah Kidda” (But Why is This?) all around the top music charts all over the Arab world. The Saudi based daily, Al Riyadh, reported that Alameh is currently undergoing special preparations for a tour around Europe starting in France and ending in London for Arabs abroad.

The daily added that Ragheb denied all rumors over any dispute with Egyptian singer Amr Diab saying that certain media sources are regretfully attempting to cause problems between the singers for pointless selfish reasons. Alameh in turn revealed that there are future plans for a duet with the Egyptian singer.

“Leih Kida” (Why is this?!), will mark the first album for the forty-year old Alameh after joining the “Alam Al Fan” (World of Art) Production Company last year. The company’s producer, Mohsen Jaber, has dubbed Ragheb to be one of the many Arab world most successful Arab artists the company has.

The ten-song album promises to be Alameh’s strongest come back after his one and a half-year absence since the last album, “Saharouni Al Leil” (Your Eyes Kept Me Awake All Night).

Last May, with the Palestinian Kafiyyah on his shoulders, the super star has sang one of the album’s new songs at the “Cairo TV Nights” in solidarity with the Palestinian Intifada (Uprising). The song entitled “Bi Oulu Nihna al Sabab” (They Say We Are the Reason) was composed by him and written by Tony Karam. “I tried to select the least bloody and catastrophic scenes so that the song will be balanced in consistency with the difficult circumstances our Palestinian brothers are facing,” commenting on the song’s music video.

On a different note Alameh said he is debating which of the songs from his new album will be chosen for a new music video. His choice fell on more than one song but indicated that only one will be selected. –Albawaba.com
