Omar Al Abdalaat waves goodbye to his career for a bit in solidarity with Gazans

Jordanian singer Omar Al Abdalaat announced that he has officially halted all career related activities and called off all events in solidarity with the people in Gaza and stressed his resentment of the brutal Israeli attacks that have taken the lives of many.

According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, Omar said, "What our dear Palestinian nation is going through is genocide". Omar reached an agreement with the production company 'Rotana', which produced his albums, to postpone his new album to a later date. He also called off his previously scheduled concert during the Muslim holiday Eid El Fitr in the Egyptian touristic city of Sharm El Sheikh and called off his US tour, which was to take place right now, due to the attacks on Gaza.

Omar made his big announcement through the media to avoid being questioned by journalists on his position on the troubles facing the Arab world. Omar has brought us many popular songs throughout his career that are dedicated especially to the Palestinian people.
