ALBAWABA - After less than 24 hours, Iranian authorities announced the "cessation" of their operation against Israel.

Iran launched multiple barrages of missiles against Israel in response to its aggressive strikes on Lebanon.

Israel responded with airstrikes on several cities across Iran, tagreting at least one petrochemical plant.

The announcement comes shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump's warning to both countries to halt fighting.

Trump told Iran and Israel to stop "shooting," as the two-month ceasefire between the countries was broken with the recent rocket barrages to and from Iran and Israel.

"Israel and Iran must immediately stop 'shooting'," Trump said Monday.
