ALBAWABA - It seems even one of the most beloved titles in gaming history is not safe from AI. Crazy Taxi: World Tour was recently announced during the Xbox Games Showcase.
While many celebrated the return of the beloved title, Steam users were quick to notice that the game's page contains a generative AI disclaimer that reads, "At SEGA Corporation, we utilize generative AI as a support tool for developers, aiming to provide better content to our users and enable developers to focus more on creative tasks We have used such generative AI support tools during development of Crazy Taxi: World Tour. No AI was used in reference to the performers in the game."

SEGA added in another statement, "At SEGA Corporation, generative AI is available as an optional support tool for developers, enabling our teams to focus more on creative tasks and ultimately focus on what matters most: delivering better games to our consumers."
Upon noticing, word quickly spread across social media as fans voiced their frustration over the use of generative AI in the game's assets, as reported by Game Informer.
Recent online reports claim that several developers across the globe have reportedly begun implementing AI into their workflow for cost-cutting and time management.
Crazy Taxi released back in 1999 on the Sega Dreamcast and quickly became a hit among players for its over-the-top designs, addictive, chaotic gameplay, and outstanding soundtrack.
