Mohammad Assaf is living the high life as he continues to mingle with yet more celebs in the entertainment world, only this time they’re all in the recording studio! The singer has just completed recording four songs from his first ever music album.
According to Laha magazine, Lebanese singer Ramy Ayach wrote a special song for Assaf, which was composed by Salim Assaf, and will feature in the album. A gift from one star to another!
Arab Idol judge and singer Ragheb Alama gifted Assaf one of his biggest music hits, the song titled “Ya Rait” (I Wish), which will also feature in the same album. Ragheb had told Mohammad that he could have the copyrights to the song when he did a rendition of it on Arab Idol.
The Arab Idol winner announced that he will soon be recording a duet with the legendary Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab. Assaf said that he’s a huge fan of Sherine and her voice. He added that he loves to listen to her sing and has never heard anything like her voice before.
The rising singer was also given the opportunity to work with legendary musicians like Lebanese singer and composer Melhem Barakat, artist Eyad Burji, poets Nizar Francis, Ahmad Madi and Karim Al Iraqi.
Mohammad’s musical cooperation with Melhem didn’t come as a surprise, as the Lebanese legend had often expressed his admiration for Assaf’s voice, going as far as saying that people attended Assaf and Ragheb’s joint Dubai concert to listen to Assaf’s brilliant voice, and not Ragheb’s!
