Did you guys see the resemblance between Egyptian actress Mai Kassab and American singer (and twerking queen) Miley Cyrus from the Instagram pic she posted on Sunday?
No? Neither did we! But Layalina Magazine put the two girls side by side and decided that there's a striking resemblance!
Mai wasn't sure if Miley is her Western twin, but after expressing much love for the former Disney star, she admitted that they do look similar in the Layalina creation.
"I love her and I very much love her life story. I'm not sure if she looks like me, but maybe she does in this picture," Mai wrote on Instagram.
The actress used this opportunity to make a really good point about blindly copying the West.
"What I love most about her is her insistence on succeeding and pushing herself forward to the better so that she remains in the spotlight. My advice is: Adopt from the West what suits you, your culture and your religion. Adopt the positive things, learn from them and make them work for you. Never copy anyone blindly," Mai added.
The 33-year-old is currently filming scenes for an upcoming TV series called "Al Motallaqat" (The Divorcees), alongside Ola Ghanem and Maryhanne Hussain.
The series follows the story of three divorced women and sheds the light on the challenges they face in their everyday lives because of their marital status.
Although Mai plays a divorcee in her new project, she's a happily married woman off-screen. She has (almost) tied the knot to singer Oka, whom she starred with in the Egyptian comedy film " 8%," last month. The couple will hold a big wedding ceremony this April.
