For all we knew, Egyptian songstress Mai Kassab and folk singer Oka were already in marital bliss, basking in the glory of their talented union. Mai shocked everyone tuning into the CBC program "Maekum" (With You), hosted by Muna Al Shatheli, with the announcement that she and Oka were actually not yet married.
We were all confused because we'd seen pics on Facebook of what looked like two lovers saying "I do", but Mai shared on the program that the ceremony we have heard so much about was just a contract signing, not a full blown marriage.
"We held a ceremony to sign the marriage contract, but we have not held a wedding ceremony and will do so in April, because our house is not ready yet," she explained.
Mohammad Muneer was scheduled to perform at the signing of the marriage contract ceremony, but he was unable to do so because he was out of the country. The big ol' wedding bash, however? He has promised to bring his musical genius to the grand affair.
