ALBAWABA - Justin Baldoni claims Blake Lively tried to prevent him from attending the film's premiere and undermined his performance.
Justin Baldoni accuses Blake Lively in a countersuit of attempting to prevent him and his Wayfarer Studios team from attending the film's premiere. According to the $250 million complaint against The New York Times, Lively attempted to discredit Baldoni's function as the project's director, executive producer, and star. This legal dispute intensified when Baldoni accused Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, of planning a campaign against him at the start of the new year.
According to Baldoni, Lively "tried" to have him "banned."
In court documents, Baldoni asserts that Lively only reluctantly allowed his participation after intense pressure, and only under humiliating circumstances, such as keeping him apart from the main cast and preventing him from attending the after-party. According to US Weekly, the lawsuit claims that Lively first denied Baldoni permission to attend the film's premiere, further undercutting his role.
She reluctantly agreed to allow Baldoni and the Wayfarer team to visit, but only under extreme duress. The Wayfarer staff and their families, including Baldoni and [producer] Jamey Heath, faced separation from the main cast, denied access to the VIP after-party, and forced to pay extra for their own celebration.
Baldoni accuses Blake Lively of using "bullying" techniques.
According to Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively purposefully shunned him and his family at the It Ends With Us premiere. According to the court filings, Blake Lively shortened Baldoni's time on the red carpet and placed him and his loved ones in a basement holding area before removing them from the main event. The lawsuit goes on. "Lively not only stole the movie, but she also denied Baldoni and his crew a real chance to recognize their efforts."
The director of It Ends With Us has filed a lawsuit against Ryan Reynolds, alleging that both the actor and Lively intended to ruin his career. Reynolds allegedly acted aggressively against Baldoni, accusing him of "fat-shaming" Lively. Additionally, according to Baldoni, Reynolds pressured his previous agency, WME, which also represents Lively and Reynolds, to terminate his clientele.
Hours after Lively officially sued her film co-star, accusing him of a number of crimes, including "creating a hostile work environment," "sexual harassment," and "launching a smear campaign" against her, the agency fired Baldoni. "There is a claim in Baldoni's filing that Reynolds pressured Baldoni's agent at the 'Deadpool & Wolverine' premiere," the agency confirmed in response. According to the agency, this is untrue.
