Remember a few weeks ago when we got a teeny weeny bit jealous when Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced that he will be granting Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama with an honorary Palestinian passport?
Well, that day has come! The decision was made as as token of appreciation for Ragheb's constant support and care for Arab Idol winner Mohammad Assaf, and the love, loyalty and affiliation he showed towards the Palestinian people throughout the entire Idol competition.
Le President was busy holding meetings all over the Arab world, but he had to make one special stop: Lebanon.
A VIP ceremony was held for Pali-to-be Alama, where President Abbas presented him with the promised Diplomatic citizenship.
As expected, the Lebanese-Palestinian singer was ecstatic.
“As long I hold the Palestinian Crisis and the cause of the people in my heart and soul, as I did before and always will, I will keep fighting for them until their rights are regained,” Ragheb said.
