With a new Ramadan drama season commenced, Haifa Wehbe is back on the screen. The Lebanese star says her show Kalam Ala Waraq” (Words on paper) is one of the first for her that doesn't just concentrate on her looks.
Having put great efforts into her role, like having her hair dyed every 10 days of filming, Haifa says she wants viewers feedback after having watched the first few episodes, according to the Middle East news portal Elaph. What star doesn't want a good pat on the back for a job well done, and we're banking that she is fishing for compliments.
Haifa's character named "Habiba Yasin" is living in Lebanon as a seamstress with an Egyptian father and Lebanese mother. Unfortunately, not many fans in Egypt will be able to give their thoughts on the show since their state-owned satellite channels didn't buy into the drama.
While we certainly couldn't call her religious, Haifa did share some of her Ramadan customs that include eating the traditional Middle Eastern sweet Kanafa. Her friends even call her “The Kanafa Being”. She added that she does not like to perform during the holy month and prefers to practice all the customs like praying, fasting and spending it with family.
