He may have his fair share of the looks, but George Clooney has admitted his wife has all the brains.
The actor was speaking at a charity gig in New York City on Monday when he fluffed his lines on stage.
While trying to recall how many countries the SeriousFun Children's Network's had helped, he accidentally overestimated the number of countries there are in the world by a few hundred.
'Since 1988, these camps have [helped] over a half million sick kids and their families from over five, from over 50, not just 500 countries... that would be too many,' he trailed off, realising he'd just doubled the number of nations on the planet.
'There aren't that many... Are there 500 countries?' he asked himself and the audience, before conceding: 'My wife's the smart one.'
Earlier in the night, George told Extra why Amal Alamuddin hadn't accompanied him on the night.
'She's trying to get a guy out of prison in Egypt I think, so she's working,' he said. 'She's got her own, she's got a lot of stuff to do.'
But he couldn't help gushing over his new bride: 'I'm very happy. It's exciting,' he said of married life. 'I really love my wife, I’m having a great time and I’m very proud of her. I couldn’t be more proud of the things she does.'
Instead, the 53-year-old had to make do with his replacement date for the night: Danny DeVito.
'Oh baby I do, I got George, yes I do, I got him and don’t tell nobody,' the pint-sized actor sang when asked about his hot date. 'They won’t tell nobody, they’re not gonna publicize the fact we’re on a date for crying out loud.'
In addition, Meryl Streep attended the star-studded soiree which honored the legacy of the late actor and SeriousFun founder Paul Newman.
George looked dapper in a two-piece black suit, white dress shirt and striped blue tie.
Shiny black dress shoes looked perfect for the fancy event.
Danny, who more casual wearing a navy shirt, black jacket and color coordinated trousers.
Three-time Oscar winner Meryl brought her fashion A-game.
She donned a collared shirt with metallic sheen, wide-leg black trousers and leather heels.
All guests were asked to wear SeriousFun Children's Network's signature blue color somewhere in their cocktail attire.
Also at the bash was Tom Hanks, Carole King, singer Aloe Blacc and Gayle King.
