Egyptian journalist, Fawzia Salama, is so loved by the region that most refer to her only as 'Mama Fawzia' for her part in hard-hitting, boundary-pushing, talk show, 'Kalam Nawa'im'.
So it came as a huge shock to fans when the much-loved star announced a sudden cancer diagnosis earlier this week. In the spirit on her many years in the biz, the presenter will be announcing the news to millions of viewers later today.
According to MBC.net, while filming a special report from London where Fawziah is currently undergoing chemotherapy, the star will talk about her battle to fight off the disease and reach out to fans for moral support.
